Our society was founded on May 21, 1978 to preserve the history of Washington County - Alabama's First County - and to encourage the preservation of historical places and artifacts within our county.

Next Meeting 
 

Our July meeting will be held on Sunday 10 July, 2022. Please note that we usually meet on the third Sunday but this meeting will be the second Sunday in July.
 
The meeting will be at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Lou Schell. The residence is a white house across the street from the Wash. Co. Public Library.
